 Changes to Queensland's border restrictions and vaccination mandates are expected in December. Queensland minister apologises over border COVID-19 PCR test confusion ahead of peak tourist season

 Queensland Tourism Minister Stirling Hinchliffe said he is "sorry that there has been confusion" over PCR testing, as Gold Coast operators worry low occupancy rates will not improve for what should be the peak Christmas tourism season.  Travellers entering Queensland for non-essential reasons will be required to provide a negative PCR test result when border restrictions ease next month. Mongols bikies and associates to front court charged with assaulting Gold Coast police

 A group of alleged Mongols outlaw motorcycle gang members and associates allegedly turned on police on the Gold Coast in the early hours of Friday morning after officers were called to reports one had headbutted a patron at a nightclub. The men were kicked out of Fat Freddy's Beach Bar and Diner following an incident inside the Broadbeach venue, where another person was allegedly assaulted and a glass was smashed. When officers arrived, they allegedly saw one of the men urinating near the premises, before they approached the group and asked for their names.
