Pro fisherman fights for life after alleged Gold Coast one-punch attack

A professional New South Wales fisherman continues to fight for his life in the Gold Coast University Hospital after falling victim to an alleged one-punch attack last Thursday.
Liam McNeilly, 34, was allegedly hit about 1.20am on Orchid Avenue in Surfers Paradise and fell backwards, hitting his head on the concrete. Paramedics said treatment at the scene saved his life

Gold Coast car dealer fined for second odometer tampering

 A Gold Coast car dealer has been busted for tampering with the odometer of a car that he sold. The Office of Fair Trading took Christos Spiro Tsalapataris to court where he was ordered to pay $5,000 for the offence. Southport court heard that Mr Tsalapataris, who traded as GC Car Wholesale, purchased a 2011 Mitsubishi Triton from a Southport motor dealer in June last year for $6,100.
