Coronavirus pandemic job losses from major Australian employers

Every week there seem to be more companies announcing job losses, as the coronavirus pandemic, lockdown and resulting economic downturn continues to bite hard.
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 594,300 people lost their jobs in April. This drop was predominantly due to restrictions put in place to protect Australians from the coronavirus.

Gold Coast car dealer fined for second odometer tampering

 A Gold Coast car dealer has been busted for tampering with the odometer of a car that he sold. The Office of Fair Trading took Christos Spiro Tsalapataris to court where he was ordered to pay $5,000 for the offence. Southport court heard that Mr Tsalapataris, who traded as GC Car Wholesale, purchased a 2011 Mitsubishi Triton from a Southport motor dealer in June last year for $6,100.
