Hail, dangerous winds likely as storms fire up across southeast

 Severe storms continue to sweep across the Gold Coast with more areas of the city being impacted.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Mudgeeraba, Nerang, Tweed Heads(NSW), Kooralbyn and Numinbah Valley.

They are forecast to affect Coolangatta, Beaudesert and Southport by 6:10 pm and Aratula, Mount Tamborine and Coomera by 6:40 pm.
