New Northern Gold Coast police station officially opens

 A brand-new state-of-the-art police station has officially opened its doors in Pimpama, providing a much-needed surveillance boost to the Northern Gold Coast.

The 24-hour facility has employed 36 police officers, including one senior sergeant and four sergeants.

Minister for Police and Corrective Services Mark Ryan MP says it is an extraordinary investment in policing on the Gold Coast.

Gold Coast car dealer fined for second odometer tampering

 A Gold Coast car dealer has been busted for tampering with the odometer of a car that he sold. The Office of Fair Trading took Christos Spiro Tsalapataris to court where he was ordered to pay $5,000 for the offence. Southport court heard that Mr Tsalapataris, who traded as GC Car Wholesale, purchased a 2011 Mitsubishi Triton from a Southport motor dealer in June last year for $6,100.
