Man dead, another injured in Gold Coast boating incident

 A man has tragically died in a boating incident on the Gold Coast this morning.

Paramedics and Volunteer Marine Rescue rushed to Jacobs Well off the coast of South Stradbroke Island at 11am where two men were involved in a boat collision.

One of the men suffered critical injuries and was sadly deceased upon Emergency Services’ arrival.

The second person, a man in his 50s, has sustained facial injuries and has been transported to the hospital in a stable condition.

Gold Coast car dealer fined for second odometer tampering

 A Gold Coast car dealer has been busted for tampering with the odometer of a car that he sold. The Office of Fair Trading took Christos Spiro Tsalapataris to court where he was ordered to pay $5,000 for the offence. Southport court heard that Mr Tsalapataris, who traded as GC Car Wholesale, purchased a 2011 Mitsubishi Triton from a Southport motor dealer in June last year for $6,100.
