Petrol prices soar to record high across the Gold Coast

 The cost of living crisis appears to be getting worse, with the price of fuel skyrocketing on the Gold Coast. Some petrol stations across the city have been spotted selling unleaded for as much as $2.24 a litre. That’s the highest price motorists have had to pay for fuel ever, surpassing the previous high of $2.21 in March. The worst news is, we’re being warned to expect even more pain at the pump over the next week, with RACQ admitting we’re only at the start of the price cycle. WATCH: School bus catches fire on Gold Coast

 Fire crews have rushed to a church in Reedy Creek this morning after a school bus erupted into flames. The blaze took hold of the coach in the car park of the Reedy Creek Baptist Church along Gemvale Road around 8.15am on Friday. A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesperson told myGC the bus was “well-involved” upon arrival. Thankfully there were no children on board the vehicle at the time. Man dead, another injured in Gold Coast boating incident

 A man has tragically died in a boating incident on the Gold Coast this morning. Paramedics and Volunteer Marine Rescue rushed to Jacobs Well off the coast of South Stradbroke Island at 11am where two men were involved in a boat collision. One of the men suffered critical injuries and was sadly deceased upon Emergency Services’ arrival. The second person, a man in his 50s, has sustained facial injuries and has been transported to the hospital in a stable condition.
